3. Competition Description

This is a skill-based prize competition in which eligible participants may win either:

  • a cash alternative prize,

subject to successful participation and compliance with these Rules.

This competition does not constitute gambling, betting or a lottery under the laws of England and Wales.

4.2. Each entry requires the correct answer to a genuine skill-based question, designed to test knowledge, judgement or reasoning.

4.3. Only entries with a correct answer are eligible for inclusion in the draw.

4.4. A free postal entry route is available and governed by the Free Postal Entry Route published on the website.

5. The Prize and Winner’s Choice

5.1. Prize Options

The winner shall have the right to choose one of the following options:

a) Property Prize

A residential property (house or apartment) with a maximum purchase value of £350,000 (three hundred and fifty thousand pounds sterling), located in the country and city where the winner is legally resident.

b) Cash Alternative Prize

A fixed cash prize of £200,000 (two hundred thousand pounds sterling), payable by bank transfer.

5.2. Property Selection and Time Limit

The winner has 30 calendar days from the date of official winner validation to:

– confirm in writing the intention to receive the property prize; and

– identify a specific residential property eligible for purchase.

The proposed property must be:

– legally available for purchase;

– feasible to acquire under applicable local law;

– within the maximum value of £350,000.

The Organiser retains the right to approve or reject any proposed property based on legal, regulatory or practical feasibility.

5.3. Failure to Choose a Property

If the winner:

– fails to communicate a valid property choice within 30 calendar days; or

– is unable to identify an eligible property within that period,

the winner shall be deemed to have automatically elected the cash alternative prize.

In such circumstances, the Organiser shall proceed with payment of the cash alternative prize.

5.4. Automatic Cash Payment

Following the expiry of the 30-day selection period, the cash alternative prize of £200,000 shall be transferred to the winner’s nominated bank account within 15 calendar days, subject to successful verification and receipt of valid bank details.

By operation of this clause, the winner irrevocably waives any entitlement to the property prize.

5.5. Property Value Difference

Where the purchase price of an approved property is less than £350,000, no cash balance, refund or difference shall be payable to the winner. Any such difference shall remain the property of the Organiser.

5.6. Additional Cash Grant (Property Option Only)

Where the winner elects to receive the Property Prize, the Organiser shall additionally award a one-time cash grant of £25,000 (twenty-five thousand pounds sterling).

This amount is provided for renovation, furnishing, relocation or other personal expenses at the winner’s discretion.

This additional cash grant:

a) is only available where the Property Prize is selected;

b) is not part of the £350,000 property value and is provided separately;

c) shall not be payable under any circumstances if the winner elects the £200,000 cash alternative;

d) is non-negotiable and cannot be exchanged, increased or transferred to any alternative prize structure;

e) is independent of and in addition to the property transfer costs covered by the Organiser.

The £25,000 cash grant shall be paid following completion of the property purchase and successful transfer of ownership into the winner’s name.

The Organiser makes no representation regarding the tax treatment of this amount in jurisdictions outside the United Kingdom. The winner is solely responsible for any personal tax obligations that may arise.

5.7. Property Transfer and Associated Costs

In addition to the £350,000 maximum property value, the Organiser shall cover the standard and necessary costs directly related to the legal acquisition and transfer of the property into the winner’s name.

These costs include:

– legal conveyancing fees;

– notary fees (where applicable);

– property transfer taxes;

– land registry or equivalent registration fees.

The property shall be purchased by the Organiser and transferred directly into the winner’s name.

The Organiser shall not be responsible for:

– any costs arising from delays caused by the winner;

– any mortgage or financing costs (if applicable);

– optional services, upgrades or customisations requested by the winner;

– any ongoing costs after transfer, including maintenance, utilities, service charges or local taxes;

– any personal tax liabilities of the winner in their country of residence.

The Organiser reserves the right to determine what constitutes standard and reasonable costs within each jurisdiction.

The £350,000 limit applies strictly to the purchase price of the property and does not include the above transfer costs or the additional £25,000 cash grant.

5.8. No Cash Equivalent Adjustment

The Property Prize and the Cash Alternative Prize are distinct options and are not equivalent in value. The winner acknowledges that no adjustment, negotiation or compensation shall be made between the two options.

6. Winner Selection

6.1. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries that correctly answered the skill-based question.

6.2. The draw will be conducted live and streamed publicly on Facebook Live and YouTube Live.

6.3. The Organiser’s decision is final and binding.

7. Eligibility

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Open to legal residents of the United Kingdom and the European Union, where permitted by local law
  • Employees of the Organiser and their immediate family members are excluded

8. Prize Delivery

8.1. Property Prize

Where a property prize is selected, the Organiser will purchase the property and transfer it directly into the winner’s name.

The acquisition and transfer process is indicative only and may take longer than 4–8 weeks depending on jurisdiction, legal procedures and third-party requirements.

If property acquisition becomes legally or practically impossible, the Organiser reserves the right to award the cash alternative prize instead.

8.2. Cash Alternative Prize

Where the cash alternative prize applies, payment will be made within 14 business days following:

  • successful identity and AML verification, and
  • confirmation of valid bank details.

9. Verification, AML and Compliance

9.1. The winner must successfully complete identity, eligibility and anti-money laundering (AML) checks.

9.2. Failure to pass verification will result in disqualification, and an alternative eligible winner may be selected.

10. Taxes and Ongoing Costs

10.1. The Organiser is not responsible for any ongoing property costs, including maintenance, service charges, local taxes or utilities.

10.2. The Organiser shall cover the standard costs of property acquisition and transfer as set out in Section 5.8.

10.3. Any personal tax obligations of the winner, including income tax or similar liabilities in their country of residence, remain the sole responsibility of the winner.

11. Cancellation and Minimum Entry Threshold

11.1. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the competition if a minimum entry threshold is not met.

11.2. In such cases, all paid entries will be refunded in full.

12. Publicity and Data Protection

12.1. The winner may be invited to participate in promotional activity. Participation is voluntary and does not affect prize entitlement.

12.2. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

13. Limitation of Liability

Participation is at the participant’s own risk.
Nothing in these Rules limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
